On March 19, Emerson and Xi'an University of Technology (XUT) jointly held the opening ceremony of the "Joint Intelligent Control System Laboratory". Mr. Yan Li, Vice President of Xi'an University of Technology, Mr. Gao Song, Dean of the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, Mr. Guo Yong, Vice President of Emerson China and General Manager of Emerson Technology & Resources (Xi'an) Company Limited, and Mr. Cheng Yan, Vice President of Human Resources of Emerson China, were present at the ceremony. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on topics such as university-enterprise cooperation and integration of production, learning and research, aiming to help build a bridge for communication, exchange, learning and practice between universities and enterprises.
Emerson and Xi'an University of Technology (XUT) have been engaged in an in-depth university-enterprise partnership since 2019 and will begin establishing the lab in 2021, with the aim of vigorously developing higher education and cultivating innovative and applied talents for enterprises and society. The lab employs Emerson's advanced DeltaV digital automation system and innovative electronic wiring technology, while utilizing digital twins to interface with digital transformation and meet the school's experimental teaching needs.
The unveiling of the Intelligent Control System Laboratory jointly built by Emerson and Xi'an University of Technology marks another more solid step in the cooperation between the two organizations. In the future, Emerson and Xi'an University of Technology will further deepen the integration of industry and education, synergize and win-win cooperation, and jointly cultivate innovative and high-quality talents.
