Q: Why does the monitor use two proximity probes?
A: Because the thrust measurement is performed by observing the gap voltage of the proximity probe as input, if a single probe is used, the probe failure (gap out of range) may be misjudged by the monitor as a thrust position change, resulting in a false thrust alarm. Using two proximity probes to observe the same shaft ring or shaft and configuring the monitor in "AND" voting mode, the monitor's alarm relay will only be triggered when both sensors reach or exceed their alarm set points at the same time, which can effectively avoid false alarms.
Q: How to choose the appropriate full-scale range option based on actual needs?
A: It needs to be selected based on the specific specifications of the monitored equipment, operating parameters, and accuracy requirements for thrust position monitoring. For example, if the axial displacement range of the device is small and higher accuracy is required, a smaller full scale range can be selected, such as option 12 of 1.0-0-1.0 mm; if the displacement range is large and the accuracy requirement is relatively low, option 01 of 25-0-25 mil can be selected, etc
