The graphic operator terminal with catalog number 2711-T10C8 is part of the 2711 PanelView Standard operator terminals. It is specifically part of the PanelView Plus 1000 operator terminals which comes with standard capabilities such as a 10.1-inch colored display screen with resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, touch input interface and integral 1008 Kbytes internal flash memory.
The 2711-T10C8 has specific feature provided by the built-in Data Highway Plus (DH+) communication port and RS232 Printer interface. The DH+ port is used for exchanging data with partner controllers such as PLC5, SLC500, and other Programable Logic Controllers (PLC), even with 3rd party devices with support for DH+ protocol as well. DH+ uses a 3-wire cable, which may be implemented in long distances and support communication with one or more controllers. The secondary port which is the RS232 is used for communicating with alarm printers, enabling printing and documenting of alarms and events for historization and reports.
The 2711-T10C8 is a flush mounted to an enclosure and supports horizontal orientation only. It requires mounting clearance of 51 mm or 2 inches on all sides to ensure adequate air flow as well as working space for installation of additional components intended for the operator terminal.
The 2711-T10C8 is mounted to an enclosure rated NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only) IP54, IP65. The required operating temperature is 0…55 ° C (32…131 ° F) with shock and vibration rating of 15 g and 2 g up to 2,000 Hz respectively.
