The 24 VDC Positive/Negative Input Module (IC670MDL640) provides a single group of 16
discrete inputs, which may be driven by positive or negative logic.
The GE Fanuc IC670MDL640 discrete input module is a member of the GE Field Control I/O module series.
This module is a positive/negative input module designed to offer 16 separate inputs driven by negative or
positive logic. It has a voltage rating of 24 Volts DC and an input voltage ranging from 0 to 30 Volts DC. At 24
Volts DC, this module has a user input current of 7.5 milliamps per point. Other notable input characteristics
include an on-state current of 3.0 to 8 milliamps and an off-state current of 0 to 1.5 milliamps. It has an on and
off response time of 6 milliseconds (typical) and 10 milliseconds (maximum). The IC670MDL640 input module
has a maximum power supply of 83 milliamps at maximum, and the current it draws from the Bus Interface Unit
or BIU is 75 milliamps typical for all the points that are powered on.
