Molex Woodhead SST-PB3-REM SST™ Profibus Remote Module
Overview:
The SST-PB3-REM module is an SST Profibus remote module designed by Woodhead. This remote module
is a linking device between EIP and PFB. The module uses a DIN rail for mounting. The slave of this module
is a PROFIBUS DPV0 unit. The network connection type used in this module is the PROFIBUS nine pinned
D-sub female connector. This module is compatible with peripheral devices. The module weighs
550 grams. The SST-PB3-REM module is a linking device designed for PROFIBUS-V0 and DP-V1 master-slave
use with the Ethernet/IP adapter. The module is powered using a 24 Volts DC supply.
Function:
SST-PB3-REM combines the functionality of an EtherNet/IP Adapter with that of a Profibus
Master or/and Slave which enables a controller acting as an EtherNet/IP Scanner to transmit and
receive data on the Profibus network.
