Schneider Electric TSXASY800 Overview
The Modicon Premium analog output module TSXASY800 is an X80 module manufactured by Schneider Electric for use on the EcoStruxure Control Expert platform. The module is constructed with eight analog outputs – not isolated from one another. The TSXASY800 is a module designed for use in a rack-installation.
Featured components and functions of the Modicon TSXASY800 X80 processor
Connection to process is the component on the TSXASY800 is the hardware connection to the process done through a 25-pin Sub-D connector. The function of the connection is to protect the unit from a spike in voltage.
Adaptation to Various Actuators is the multiplexer, and the function of the multiplexer is for voltage or current usage.
Converting Digital Data to Analog Signals is the next component area, and the function is for both voltage and current. For voltage function, the conversion is performed on 13 bits + polarity sign. For the current function, conversion is performed on 13 bits.
The Interfacing and communications with the application component function are to manage exchanges with the PCU, geographic addressing, receiving configuration parameters from the application for the module, Channels, and numeric setpoints from the channels.
The Modicon TSXASY800 has a Power supply component and a module for monitoring and sending error warnings to the application. The monitoring component handles converter testing and testing for range overflow on the various channels. This component verifies that the terminal block is present and performs watchdog tests.
